Congress played with India's security: PM Narendra Modi

Mumbai, Jan 9 (IBNS): Previous governments had played withe the country's security, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said at a rally in Maharashtra's Solapur.

"Media reports said Michel mama (uncle) was not only connected to the helicopter deal but lobbying for fighter planes of another company," Modi said.

The PM's reference is to the alleged AgustaWestland VVIP helicopter deal middleman Christian Michel.

"Now it is important to get the answer to the question.... the Congress leader who is making all the noise....what is his connection with Michel mama," said the PM, who was in Solapur to inaugurate and lay foundation stones of various development projects.

He said: "They will have to pay the price for playing with the country's security."

"All the friends of the middlemen are dreaming of scaring the chowkidaar (gateman, a reference to himself)," thundered the Prime Minister. "But Modi is made of a different material. You cannot buy him. You cannot scare him. He will take the account of every paise on behalf of this country."
