Congress moves EC for stopping Modi's 'Mann Ki Baat' address
New Delhi, Sept 16 (IBNS): The opposition Congress has urged the Election Commission to stop Prime Minister Narendra Modi's radio address programme to the nation titled Mann Ki Baat till the elections in Bihar are conducted.
Congress said the programme is used by the PM to highlight his government's achievements, according to reports.
According to an NDTV report, the Election Commission source have said that they will act if parts of the Mann Ki Baat lectures appear to be lobbying for the Bihar election.
While Bihar goes to polls next month, Modi is leading the campaign in the state too.
In his last address over radio, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tueday urged people to record voice messages for 'Mann Ki Baat'.
The "My Gov" platform, had earlier invited people to record messages in either Hindi or English, for Mann Ki Baat on the toll-free number 1800 3000 7800.
"Interesting effort by @mygovindia, which enables you to join this week's 'Mann Ki Baat' programme. I heard some of the voice messages and they were unique. Keep the messages coming. Some will be a part of the programme this Sunday," the Prime Minister tweeted.
