Lucknow, Feb 11 (IBNS): Ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi, who recently joined mainstream politics, will visit Lucknow city on Monday.

This is her first visit to the state after formally joining politics around two weeks ago.

During the visit, Priyanka Gandhi will be accompanied by Jyotiraditya Scindia, the party's western Uttar Pradesh in-charge, and the Congress president Rahul Gandhi.

On Sunday, she released an audio message  where she said: "Hello, this is Priyanka Gandhi Vadra speaking."

"Tomorrow, I am going to Lucknow to meet all of you. I have hope in my heart that together we can begin a new kind of politics. It will be a politics in which all of you will be stakeholders. From my young friends, my sisters and even the weakest person, all their voices will be heard in this kind of politics," she was quoted as saying in Hindi.

According to reports, the Congress party is planning a roadshow during her four-day visit to the politically crucial north Indian state.
