Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge pays homage to Zakir Hussain on his birth anniversary

New Delhi/UNI: Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Wednesday paid homage to former President of India, Dr Zakir Hussain on his birth anniversary.

Recalling his contribution, Kharge said he contributed immensely in reforming country's Education Policy.

"An exceptional educationist and a freedom fighter, Former President of India and Bharat Ratna, Dr Zakir Husain contributed immensely in reforming India's Education policy and establishing institutions like Jamia Milia Islamia.

"Our sincere tribute on his birth anniversary," he tweeted.

Hussain was the third President of India.

He was an educationist and intellectual.
