New Delhi/UNI: Chief Justice of India (CJI) Nuthalapati Venkata Ramana on Monday administered the oath to Justices Sudhanshu Dhulia and Jamshed Burjor Pardiwala as Judges of the Supreme Court.

With this, the Supreme Court now has the full strength of 34 judges for the first time, after Nov 2019.

But, from May 11, with the retirement of Justice Vineet Saran, again the judges strength of the Supreme Court will be reduced to 33.

The Supreme Court Collegium had recently recommended the elevation of Justice Sudhanshu Dhulia, Chief Justice, Guwahati High Court and Justice J B Pardiwala, Judge, Gujarat High Court, to the Supreme Court.

After this, the central government had also issued its notification clearing their names to be elevated to as Supreme Court Judges.
