Mohali, Mar 29 (UNI): A chemist, reportedly angry over cancellation of his shop 10 years ago, on Friday shot dead a drug inspector and later committed suicide.

Police said that Morinda resident Balvinder Singh shot Neha Shauri in chest with a .32 bore revolver by killing her on the spot and then shot himself.

He succumbed to injuries during treatment at hospital.

Police said that Shauri, when she was posted in Ropar in 2009, had raided Singh's shop and cancelled his chemist shop licence, after recovery of some intoxicants.
