Centre cheated our nation by banning old currency notes: Mamata Banerjee on second year of Demonetisation

| @indiablooms | Nov 08, 2018, at 09:58 am

Kolkata, Nov 8 (IBNS): West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday criticised the Centre over the issue of noteban.

Nov 8 is marking the second year of the Centre's move of demonetizing old Rs. 1000 and Rs. 500 Indian currency notes.

The Centre demonetized old Indian Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 currency notes in 2016.

Mamata said the Centre cheated the nation with the move.

Criticising the move, Banerjee tweeted: " #DarkDay The government cheated our nation with this big #DeMonetisation scam. It ruined the economy and the lives of millions. People will punish those who did this."
