Campaigning for Manipur Assembly Election first phase ends on Thursday, polling on Saturday

Imphal, Mar 2 (IBNS): Manipur, which goes for its first phase of Assembly Election on Saturday, saw all major parties out to woo voters on Thursday, the last day of campaigning.

The fate of 168 candidates will be decided in the first phase across 38 of the 60 constituencies spread over the hills and valleys of Manipur.

BJP is contesting in all seats.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who campaigned here last week, said that after the BJP gained came to power at the Centre, it has always pursued the 'Act East Policy' to harness the strong development potential of the north east.
