New Delhi, Nov 22 (IBNS) : Results for the November 19 by-elections for four parliament and ten assembly seats in six states and one union territory will be announced on Tuesday as counting of votes began in the morning.

The elections, held after the Narendra Modi Government scrapped 1,000 and 500 rupee notes, are being seen as important with the results being expected to reflect the people's reaction to the demonetisation drive.

By-elections were held in  Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, West Bengal, Tripura, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
