New Delhi, Apr 7 (IBNS) The son of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MP Narender Kashyap was arrested on Thursday morning following the violent death of his wife Himanshi, who was found dead at his home in Ghaziabad near Delhi.

The lawmaker, who is in hospital, also faces arrest, media reports said.

Narender Kashyap and his son Sagar had been charged  on Wednesday,  hours after Himanshi Kashyap was found dead in the bathroom with a bullet lodged in her temple.

Police suspected that Himashi was shot with the revolver belonging to her husband, which was found atop a cupboard in the bedroom. The bathroom door was  locked from inside.

Narender Kashyap is a lawmaker of the BSP  in the Rajya Sabha.

Himanshi's family alleges that she was tortured for dowry.
