BSF nabs Indian national attempting to cross over Pakistan to meet girlfriend

New Delhi/UNI: India’s premier border guarding force BSF on Friday said that it nabbed an Indian national on Thursday who was attempting to cross over Pakistan to meet her girlfriend near the international border at Rann of Kutch in Gujarat.

According to the Border Security Force, around 9 PM on Monday, the alert troops apprehended a young Indian national Siddiqui Mohamed Zishan just before 1.5 km sort of Indo- Pak international border in that area with an intension to cross over Pakistan.

The Crime Branch of Maharashtra Police had shared Information with Gujarat Police regarding missing complaint lodged by parents of the apprehended person at his native place and accordingly, this information was passed to BSF by the Kutch district police.

After tracing his mobile location near Dholavira in Gujarat, the Force’s troops conducted search near the border area and found his black coloured bike Bajaj Boxer near Fossil Park which he had used to travel from his hometown and abandoned before leaving towards border area.

BSF search team found him in a dehydrated state and later Siddiqui Mohamed Zishan revealed that he had gone unconscious for about two hours in the Rann of Kutch areas.

His PAN and AADHAR Cards, ATM card of UCO Bank and mobile were recovered from his possession.

He also disclosed that he was resident Khawaja Nagar,Gali No-19, Osmanabad in Maharashtra.

During the preliminary inquiry, Zeshan revealed that he fell in love with a Pakistani girl namely Samra from Shah Faisal Town in Karachi (Pakistan) on Facebook and both of them were in contact with each other through the Facebook and Whatsapp.

He wanted to go to Pakistan and had used Google Map for navigation.

Later, the Force handed him over to the local police for further investigation and verification of story given by him, the BSF said in a statement.
