BSF jawans deaths: Former J&K CM Omar Abdullah condoles

Srinagar, June 3 (IBNS): Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday mourned the death of BSF personnel in suspected militant attack on their convoy.

"Sad to hear about the attack on BSF personnel in South Kashmir. Condolences to the families of the deceased & prayers for the injured," he tweeted.

At least 2 BSF personnel, including a Head Constable, were killed and 4 others were injured in an attack  carried out by suspected militants on their convoy near Goriwan in Bijbehara town of south Kashmir’s on Friday,reports said.

According to reports, convoy was coming from Jammu to Srinagar when the attack took place on it.

Suspected militants opened fire on the army convoy.

Security forces have launched an operation to nab the militants.
