New Delhi, Apr 26 (IBNS): The AIDMK leader, TTV Dinakaran, was arrested by the Delhi police for allegedly bribing an Election Commission official to secure the 'two leaves symbol' for his faction of the party, according to media reports on Wednesday.

Dinakaran has been arrested by the crime branch of Delhi, after four days of questioning.

Dinakaran was accused of bribing an Election Commission official to get the 'two leaves' symbol for their factions after the party's disintegration into two groups, following former CM of Tamil Nadu J Jayalalitha's death.

He has been arrested on the charge of criminal conspiracy and bribery.

Before the AIDMK leader, a middleman named Sukesh Chandrasekhar who is also involved in the bribery case was arrested.
