BJP's insult of Advani and Joshi against Hindu culture: Kejriwal

New Delhi, Mar 26 (UNI): Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's treatment of senior BJP elders L.K. Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi, saying it was "insulting" and "against Hindu culture".

Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Kejriwal said: ''The way Mr Modi insulted his elders - Mr Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi, this is against Hindu culture. In Hinduism, we have been taught to respect our elders."

''Those who built the 'house' had been thrown out. When he cannot support his elders then who can he support,'' Kejriwal said.

''Is this Indian culture? People are talking about why Mr Modi is insulting Mr Advani, Mr Joshi and Sushma Swaraj," he said in a series of tweets.

Senior BJP leaders Lal Krishna Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi have been asked by the party to announce that they would not contest the Lok Sabha polls this time.

"I have been asked by the party to announce that I will not contest the polls," Joshi said in a statement issued on Monday late night.
