Chhatarpur, May 20 (UNI): A person associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was gunned down on Monday outside his home in this district headquarters, law enforcement authorities said.

Mr Deepak Agnihotri – the son of Bajrang Nagar Colony-resident Rajesh Agnihotri – was targeted by three motorcycle-borne persons who first called the would-be victim outside.

He was believed to be a supporter of Mr Arvind Pateriya who was the BJP candidate from Rajnagar in the 2018 Assembly elections.

No arrests were made until late evening.
