BJP leader Mukul Roy alleges harassment by city police

Kolkata, May 12 (UNI) BJP leader Mukul Roy today lodged a protest with the election commission that he was allegedly harassed several times by the city police while traveling on a car on the VIP road coming from Dum Dum airport.

He told media persons that his car was frisked several times by the Kolkata Police as well as the Bidhannagar police despite they got nothing.

He alleged the frisking on his car was done at the instance of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee despite he revealed his identity.

" When I challenged, the policemen to produce search warrants, they said it was an order from the election commission which is not true at all," Roy said.

He said that he allowed the policemen to frisk his in presence to media people or else the city police, and Bengal police allegedly falsely implicating the BJP leaders and producing false seizure list.

Roy also condemned the police action saying the under the TMC ruling the law enforcement agencies allegedly turned the ruling party agents and harassing not only the opposition leaders but also common people.
