New Delhi, Apr 15 (IBNS) The Hindu Nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) along with its allies might bag 275 seats in the ongoing Lok Sabha polls in India to form a government in New Delhi, according to an opinion poll by the news channel NDTV on Tuesday.

The NDTV opinion poll showed the BJP and its partners getting 275 seats, which is three more than the magic number to form a government. It said the performance will be BJP's best ever for the 545 member Lok Sabha (lower house) polls.

The channel said the BJP, which has pitched Narendra Modi as its PM candidate, alone might get 226 seats.

According to the channel, BJP got some advantage with tie up with parties like Telugu Desam Party in Andhra Pradesh.

The poll said the ruling Congress party that leads the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) regime at the centre now might get less than 100 seats this time managing just about 92.

With its allies Congress can just manage to gain 111 seats, said the poll.
