Biocon Chairperson Kiran Mazumdar Shaw tests positive for COVID-19

Bengaluru/uni: Executive Chairperson of Biocon Limited Kiran Mazumdar Shaw said that she has tested positive for COVID-19.

"I have added to the Covid count by testing positive. Mild symptoms n I hope it stays that way," Bengaluru-based Biocon chief tweeted on Monday night.

Congress Lok Sabha member Shashi Tharoor has wished her a speedy recovery.

"So sorry to hear this, @KiranShaw. We need you hale & hearty soon! Be well my friend," Mr Tharoor replied her on Twitter.

It may be recalled that more than 2.33 lakh people in Karnataka have tested positive for the pandemic, including Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, Opposition Congress leader and former chief minister Siddaramaiah, and also state Health Minister B Sreeramulu.

All of them had recovered after undergoing treatment for the pandemic.
