New Delhi, Mar 12 (IBNS): Prime Minister Naredra Modi on Saturday said his government will keep the progress of Bihar on its top priority as it will result in the development of India.

"Bihar is a priority for us because we feel Bihar's progress is key to India's progress," Modi said in Bihar.

He said: "For India's sustainable development, its important for India's eastern parts to develop."

He said eastern India is the nerve centre of India.

Modi on Saturday  laid the foundation stone of certain rail projects at Hajipur.

Bihar CM Nitish Kumar and Modi were seen sharing stage at the venue.

The two had exchanged barbs ahead of the Bihar Assembly polls last year.
