Bihar exam scam mastermind held in Kolkata

Kolkata, Aug 09 (IBNS): Acting on a tip off, a joint team of West Bengal Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and Bihar Police on Tuesday arrested one of the prime accused in Bihar exam scam case, sources said.

According to reports, the mastermind of the scam, Bikash Kumar, was booked from Jinjira Bazar area in West Bengal's South 24 Parganas district, on the outskirts of Kolkata.

Police have also come to know about his luxurious flat in Kolkata's Kankurgachhi-Phoolbagan area, a CID official said.

Bikash Kumar worked as the head-clerk and store-keeper at Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB).

Bihar Police produced him in Alipore court and took him to Bihar on transit remand.
