Bihar: BJP nominates Gopal Narayan Singh for RS, JD(U) alleges corruption

Patna, Jun 1 (IBNS) Bihar's ruling Janata Dal (United) has alleged corruption against BJP's Rajya Sabha candidate Gopal Narayan Singh, citing 28 cases against him, according to reports.

JD(U) spokesperson Sanjay Singh was quoted by The Hindu as saying, "This shows the real character of the BJP…like everyone I’m also amazed how could a leader who had lost Assembly elections too for a number of times be nominated for the Rajya Sabha seat where leaders of integrity and intellectuals generally sit?”

The BJP backed Singh however rubbished all allegations and said that it is politically motivated.
