Kolkata, Feb 7 (IBNS): Hanging body of a Bengali movie industry's actress was recovered from her apartment at E.M. Bypass area under Garfa Police Station limits in southern Kolkata on Tuesday evening, reports said.

According to reports, locals found the hanging body of actress Bitasta Saha inside her flat, where she was staying alone, and called in the police.

After being recovered, her body has been sent for post-mortem.

"After preliminary investigation, it seems like actress Bitasta Saha committed suicide due to frustration," a police official told IBNS.

"We have started investigation into the matter and are checking her social media posts and phone call records," the officer added.

The young actress played short roles in several movies, including Baghini, Banchha Elo Phire and Kalkiyug.
