Bengal received huge investment proposals: Mamata

Kolkata, Jan 8 (IBNS): West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday said her state bagged investment proposals worth Rs 2 lakh 43 thousand Crore in the two-day Bengal Global Business Summit held here.
She said the Summit was successful.
 
"The first Bengal Global Business Summit ended today in a marvellous manner creating a magnificent record. In the 2-day Summit, Bengal received investment proposals from India and many foreign countries, worth Rs 2 lakh 43 thousand Crore, which is an all-time record," Banerjee claimed in a Facebook post.
 
She said one crore jobs will be created when these projects will be completed.
 
"1 Crore of jobs will be created when these projects are completed. It is our responsibility to ensure that all my investor friends do business in Bengal happily," she stated.
 
"The Global Business Summit has been an overwhelming success. I thank everyone for their hard work and dedicated support," said she.
 
Banerjee informed that the next Summit will be held on 8th and 9th January, 2016.
 
The two-day event drew almost 1000 delegates, from across India and 20 other countries.
