Kolkata/Siliguri/UNI: Trinamool Congress (TMC) general secretary Abhishek Banerjee, who has embarked upon a two-month-long Jono Sanjog Yatra (mass contact outreach) ahead of the West Bengal Panchayat polls, on Saturday said nobody is above party discipline and none can blackmail the party for an election ticket.

"It is a democracy, I'm not belittling anyone but nobody is above the party discipline, " Banerjee said.

Stating that none can blackmail the party for an election ticket, Banerjee said the campaign Trinamoole NaboJowar (new tide in Trinamool) will bring out candidates who'll truly work for people’s welfare.

"There are some miscreants who acted as a wall between you & your CM. We are trying to break down that wall via TrinamooleNaboJowar, " he averred.

Reiterating that through a secret ballot, people can choose their preferred Trinamool candidates for the upcoming rural polls, Banerjee said, "(There would be) No more horse-trading and manipulation! "
