Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina to attend G20 Summit in New Delhi

Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will attend the G20 Summit in New Delhi on September 9 and 10, a top official has said.

Bangladesh Deputy High Commissioner Andalib Elias told ANI: "We are also hoping that there will also be a bilateral meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and PM Sheikh Hasina."

The showpiece event will be held at Bharat Mandapam Convention Centre in New Delhi's Pragati Maidan.

According to the official website of the event, several key heads of the states, including US President Joe Biden, Chinese Premier Xi Jinping, and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, are expected to attend it.

The 18th G20 Heads of State and Government Summit in New Delhi will be a culmination of all the G20 processes and meetings held throughout the year among ministers, senior officials, and civil societies.

A G20 Leaders’ Declaration will be adopted at the conclusion of the New Delhi Summit, stating Leaders’ commitment towards the priorities discussed and agreed upon during the respective ministerial and working group meetings.
