Bangladesh High Commissioner to India Muhammad Imran visits Gujarat ahead of Narendra Modi's Dhaka tour

Ahmedabad: High Commissioner of Bangladesh to India Muhammad Imran visited Gujarat for a series ofg meetings just ahead of Indian PM Narendra Modi's tour to Dhaka this week.

During the March 10-13 visit, the envoy called on the Governor of the State of Gujarat Acharya Devvrat at the Raj Bhavan and the Chief Minister Vijay Rupani at his office. In the meetings, they discussed various areas of bilateral cooperation, reports The Economic Times.

He also visited the Sabarmati Ashram and paid tribute to the memory of Mahatma Gandhi.

The High Commissioner also visited the Statue of Unity in Kevadia of Narmada district and paid respect to Sarder Ballavbhai Patel. He also visited various development projects in and around the Statue of Unity. He also met and interacted with Governor of Sikkim Ganga Prasad who was also visiting Statue of Unity, reports The Economic Times.

He also visited Amul factories in Anand district during his stay in Gujarat.

Modi will visit Dhaka on Mar 26-27.
