He was 84.

Family members said here on Wednesday that Tripathi was very excited over the SC judgement on November 9 and died of a massive heart attack on Tuesday morning at his Bhagwanpatti village residence in Bhiti police station area.

He was cremated in the evening with full state honours on the banks of Saryu river in Ayodhya.
