Assam reports six more COVID-19 positive cases, state tally surges to 203
Guwahati/IBNS: Assam on Thursday registered 12 more positive cases for COVID-19 taking the state tally to 203.
Among the new cases, two cases have been reported from Kokrajhar district and four cases from Barpeta district
Assam Health Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma said that 12 persons have tested positive for COVID-19 and of them, three persons are at Kokrajhar quarantine centre.
He tweeted: "Four persons reported #COVID19 positive from Sarusajai Quarantine Centre - 2 belong to West Karbi Anglong; 1 each from Darrang and Udalguri.

On Wednesday, 28 people were tested positive for the new virus.
According to the Assam government data, the state has registered 76 COVID-19 positive cases in the last 48 hours.
The state has so far reported 191 COVID-19 positive cases including 83 cases from Kamrup (Metro), 15 from Golaghat district, 14 from Cachar district, 10 from Kamrup, eight from Hojai district, seven from Jorhat district, six cases each from Morigaon, Goalpara, Nalbari districts, five each from Karimganj, Dhubri, Bongaigaon districts, four each from Nagaon, Kokrajhar, Barpeta districts, three from Sonitpur district, two from Biswanath districts and one each from South Salmara, Lakhimpur, Hailakandi, Sivasagar districts.
The state has now 142 active COVID-19 positive cases.
