Assam: Police conduct search and raid operation in Darrang district, arms recovered
Guwahati/IBNS: SI Raja Irshad, OC Mazbat PS, Darrang and staff conducted a search and raid operation at the residence of one Benjamin Murmu, at Dhunseri Tea Garden 10 No Basti (Paharpur) under Mazbat PS on Monday.
The raids were conducted based on a specific source input at around 2 am.
During search, (1) 3 nos of hand made rifle (2) 3 nos iron pipe (3)1 hand held air blower (4) 3 nos of saw (5) 1 iron plier (6)1 iron filler (7)1 iron sharpener (8)1 iron hammer (9)1 hand held drilling machine (10) 14 nos of iron pieces have been recovered from his residence which was concealed in the kitchen room.
Accordingly the articles have been seized and the person namely Benjamin Murmu (Age35) has been apprehended.
Legal formalities are being done.
