Assam Govt is the most corrupt in India: Rahul Gandhi

| @indiablooms | Jan 19, 2024, at 02:44 am

Guwahati/IBNS/UNI: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra entered Assam from Nagaland on Thursday.

He alleged that the BJP government led by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is the most corrupt government in the country.

Addressing party workers in Amguri in Sivasagar district, where the yatra entered Assam from Nagaland, the former AICC President stated that during the yatra, they would strive to expose the corrupt practices taking place under the BJP government in Assam.

Speaking on the situation in Manipur, Gandhi said that a civil war-like situation has been prevailing there since May last year.

He said that Manipur has been divided into two parts but still Prime Minister Narendra Modi didn't get time to visit that state.

Gandhi said last year's 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' has changed the "political narrative" of the country.

The Assam leg of the yatra will continue till January 25. The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra is scheduled to cover 17 districts in the state.
