Guwahati/UNI: The Election Commission(EC) has ordered a re-poll in 4 polling booths in three constituencies of Assam.

Re-polling will be held in Ratabari, Sonai, and Haflong (ST) constituencies on April 20 from 7 am to 6 pm.

The Election Commission has ordered repolling at polling station number 149 of Ratabari seat in Assam following the row surrounding an EVM being found in a car that belongs to Patharkandi BJP candidate Krishnendu Paul.

The Election Commission has suspended four officers responsible for the transportation of EVMs at the Assam constituency. A further inquiry has been ordered.
