Assam: Biswanath district police arrested two persons with 20 kg ganja

Guwahati/IBNS: Amid the Coronavirus lockdown, police have arrested two persons along with 20 kg ganja in Assam’s Biswanath district on Thursday.

During routine checking, Biswanath district police intercepted a truck on the way to Dhemaji at Behali and during proper checking police recovered five packets of ganja weighing about 20 kg from the truck.

Police arrested two persons including the driver of the truck in connection with it.

The arrested persons were identified as Mir Hussain and Raju Baruah.

A police official of Behali police station said during routine checking, police intercepted the truck.

“We have arrested two persons and a case has been registered at Behali police station,” the police officer said.
