Ashok Prasad appointed special secretary in MHA

New Delhi, Jan 1 (IBNS) The Government on Thursday said senior IPS officer Ashok Prasad has been appointed as Special Secretary (Internal Security), MHA.

He belongs to the 1979-batch of IPS officer.

"The Competent Authority has approved the appointment of Shri Ashok Prasad, IPS (AP:79), presently working as Special Director, Intelligence Bureau (IB), as Special Secretary (Internal Security), MHA with effect from the date of his joining the post and upto the date of his superannuation i.e. 31.01.2016 or until further orders, whichever is earlier," read a government statement.
