Mumbai/UNI:  Congress leader Atul Londe on Sunday demanded that Republic TV editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami should be arrested as early as possible and the truth should be made public.

While talking to reporters here after meeting state Home Minister Anil Deshmukh in this regard, he said that an investigation by the Mumbai Police has revealed several serious issues in the leaked WhatsApp chats between Goswami and former Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) chief executive official Partho Dasgupta.

Talking about ongoing TRP case, wherein veteran lawyers are going to present their arguments in the court, the Congress leader said that the message is that these people have infiltrated the judiciary and also there is discussion about buying judges in these chats, which is very serious and seems to be an attempt to tarnish independence of the judiciary, he pointed.

This seems to put a finger on the career of the Chief Justice, Londe said and added that the sanctity and independence of the judiciary must remain intact.
