Hyderabad, May 26 (IBNS): After gaining a big win in the Assembly Election 2019, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister-elect Jagan Mohan Reddy met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence in Delhi on Sunday morning.

The meeting was held to discuss several issues including the Special Category status for the state.

Reddy has mostly banked his campaign to gain Special Category status for his state if he comes to power and also promised to support anyone at the Centre who would agree for the same.

He also met BJP chief Amit Shah.

In the state assembly, the YSRCP has achieved massive mandate by winning 151 out of 175 seats.

The Telegu Desam Party (TDP) could win only 25 seats.

The counting was done on the same day as that of the Lok Sabha election.

In the Lok Sabha election, the YSR Congress Party procured 22 of 25 parliamentary constituencies.

The TDP has won just three Lok Sabha seats.

On Saturday, Jagan Reddy met Andhra Pradesh Governor ESL Narasimhan in Hyderabad and staked claim to form the government in the state.
