Amit Shah to inaugurate projects in Manipur
Imphal/UNI: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will inaugurate several major projects in Manipur on Friday and lay the foundation stones for some projects.
Shah was welcomed at Imphal airport by Chief Minister N Biren Singh and others on Thursday night.
The Home Minister will travel by air to inaugurate projects in different districts, including Churachandpur medical college, Polo statue, and Olympian park.
The use of drones and other flying objects was banned in most parts of the state for the day.
Security personnel were positioned in strategic locations and vehicular movements were restricted near the places Amit Shah will be visiting.
Shah is on a tour in the region and campaigned in Tripura on Thursday.
After a brief stay in Manipur, he will fly to election-bound Nagaland.
