Thiruvananthapuram/IBNS: Amid a huge uproar over the alleged NEET scam in the country, the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) paper has gone on sale on social media platform Telegram, media reports said.

Along with the question paper, the answer key also went on sale.

The groups allegedly responsible for posting the advertisements on Telegram have been booked by the Cyber Crime Police of Thiruvananthapuram.

Cyber Crime has also started 24*7 cyber patrolling.

After clearing MBBS abroad, one has to pass FMGE to practice in India.

National Board of Examinations president Dr. Abhijat Sheth termed the news as "fake" and said the examination will be held on July 6 as planned.

Dr. Sheth told The Indian Express, "The integrity of FMGE has not been compromised, and the exam will be conducted as scheduled. All reports on social media regarding the sale of the question paper are fake as the exam is conducted in a computer-based test (CBT) mode, which means that the question paper is not generated this early.

"Students should steer clear of such fake news being circulated on social media, and should not fall prey to any individual or agent promising good scores."
