New Delhi, Apr 25 (UNI): An Air India aircraft caught fire during maintenance at the Delhi airport on Wednesday night.

However, the airline called it a "minor incident".

According to the airline, the incident took place when the Boeing 777 aircraft was parked at the bay for the AC repair work. The flames were noticed in its auxiliary power unit (APU) by the airport personnel and doused immediately.

No one was injured in the incident, the airline said.

On Thursday, the airline said the Delhi-San Francisco flight was delayed.

“AI-173/DEL- SFO of 25th April is postponed and will now depart at 1000LT. We apologize to our esteemed passengers for this delay,” the national carrier tweeted.
