New Delhi, Mar 3 (IBNS): Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi left for Amethi Lok Sabha constituency in Uttar Pradesh after addressing a rally in Patna city in Bihar which was also attended by state Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

Amethi is significant as it is the Lok Sabha seat represented by Congress supremo Rahul Gandhi.

As per UNI report, Modi, was seen off by Bihar Governor Lalji Tandon, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, his deputy Sushil Kumar Modi and a number of leaders of BJP at Patna Airport.

Coming down to Patna city, where he shared the stage with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar after a long time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday attacked the opposition leaders for 'questioning' the surgical strike conducted by the Indian Air Force on terror camp across the Line of Control last week.

"They asked for evidence of the surgical strike. Now, they are asking for evidence of the strikes by the Air Force," Modi said while addressing the Sankalp Rally’ at Patna’s Gandhi Maidan.

Hitting out at the opposition leaders, Modi said at a time when they are busy 'abusing' him, the country's 'chowkidaar' is alert.

Modi has often termed himself as the 'chowkidaar' (watchman) of the country in the past.

Opposition leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, have often targeted him by using the term 'chowkidaar' during recent rallies.

"Some people are now busy inside the country reducing the morale of the Indian Army when they are fighting against terror. This will actually make the enemy happy," he said.

Modi said the nation will give fitting reply for the death of its soldiers.

Prime Minister shared dais with Kumar, Union Minister and LJP president Ramvilas Paswan besides other senior leaders of NDA at historic Gandhi Maidan for addressing the massive public gathering.
