Actress Nafisa Ali joins Mamata's TMC ahead of 2022 Goa polls

Panaji/IBNS: Actress Nafisa Ali joined West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress (TMC) here Friday with months to go for the 2022 Goa elections.

Ali joined the TMC in presence of party supremo Mamata Banerjee.

The veteran actress, who featured in films like 'Junoon', 'Life In A... Metro', was a Congress member.

She had briefly served the Samajwadi Party as well.

Banerjee has kickstarted her political campaign in Goa where her TMC is aiming to contest the next state elections in Goa.

Banerjee, who was in North Bengal for the last few days over her administrative works, reached Goa Thursday evening.

After wresting power West Bengal for the third consecutive time decimating the BJP, Banerjee's TMC is aiming to expand and start its campaign in Tripura, Assam and Goa, which are ruled by the saffron brigade.
