Acclaimed Hindi author Namvar Singh no more
New Delhi, Feb 20 (UNI) Celebrated Hindi author and literary critic Namvar Singh passed away here on Tuesday night.
He was 92.
He is survived by a son and a daughter.
Professor Namvar Singh, who had not been keeping well for the last one month, died at 2315 hrs at the All India Institute for Medical Sciences, where he was being treated.
His last rites will be held at Lodhi road crematorium on Wednesday afternoon.
Prof Singh had won the Sahitya Akademi award for his work 'Kavita Ke Naye Pratiman'.
He was president of the Hindi language centre at the Jawaharlal Nehru university.
