AAP to hold nationwide protests against fuel price hike tomorrow

New Delhi, May 16 (IBNS) The Aam Aadmi Party will hold nationwide protests against the petrol and diesel prices hike on Sunday.

"AAP will hold nationwide protests on Sunday (May 17). Various units and frontal organizations of the party and its volunteers would be holding demonstrations and hold outreach programs to sensitize people on the anti-people and fatal plans of the BJP government at the centre," the party said in a statement.

"AAP Delhi unit will also protest against this hike tomorrow at 9 am at Jantar Mantar. Delhi convener Dilip Pandey & Delhi secretary Saurabh Bhardwaj will lead the protest with all MLAs of Delhi," it said.

Prices of petrol and diesel have been hiked and came to effect from midnight on Friday, officials said.

While petrol price has been hiked by Rs. 3.13 per litre,  diesel price was increased by Rs. 2.71 a litre.
