AAP to contest Lok Sabha elections alone in Delhi, Punjab and Haryana: Gopal Rai

New Delhi, Jan 18 (IBNS): The Aam Aadmi Party on Friday said they are going to contest the Lok Sabha polls in Delhi, Punjab and Haryana alone.

"AAP will contest polls alone in Delhi, Punjab and Haryana," Gopal Rai, AAP leader, said while addressing a press conference here.

He once again negated any possibility of forming an alliance between the Congress and his AAP for the Lok Sabha polls.

"The Congress only sticks to its arrogance," he said.

He said people of Delhi can only find an alternative in the AAP.

The Lok Sabha Polls will be held this year.

Rai ended all speculations over the formation of an alliance between the AAP and the Congress.

The UP alliance:

The development came at a time when the Samajwadi Party and the Bahujan Samaj Party, who are considered as major political rivals in Uttar Pradesh, formed an alliance ahead of the Lok Sabha polls last week.

In a joint press conference addressed by SP's Akhilesh Yadav, and BSP supremo Mayawati, the announcement regarding the alliance was made.
