AAP mocks PM Modi following 'breakfast with mother' tweet

| | Jan 10, 2017, at 04:58 pm
New Delhi, Jan 10 (IBNS): As Narendra Modi tweeted about himself having breakfast with mom, AAP members, including Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Somnath Bharti, accused the Prime Minister of using his mother to gain political favour and mocked the move as a publicity stunt.

"Skipped Yoga & went to meet mother. Before dawn had breakfast with her. Was great spending time together," the Prime Minister had tweeted on Tuesday morning.

In response, Kejriwal said that he lives with his mother. Seeks her blessings every day but does not publicise it.

The AAP supremo's tweet in Hindi read, "I don't use my mother to gain political favour."

In a subsequent tweet, Kejriwal taunted Modi of having a small heart.

"According to Hindu rituals and Indian culture, one is suppose to live with his aged mother and wife. The PM Nivas is huge, you need a big heart."

Joining the bandwagon in slamming Modi, AAP member Somnath Bharti termed it as a publicity stunt.

"Is this not height of want of publicity? Informing the world as if he did a great favor to her. Mr. Modi, v do it daily without advertising!" he tweeted.
