70 Vyapam scam accused seek President's approval to commit suicide
Bhopal, Aug 9 (IBNS): In an unusual move, seventy doctors and medical students accused in the Vyapam scam and lodged in Gwalior Central Jail have in a letter requested the President to allow them to commit suicide.
They forwarded the request to President Pranab Mukherjee stating that they have been behind bars for long and their "future is dark".
Copies of the letter were also sent to the Prime Minister's Office, Chief Justice of India, Madhya Pradesh high court, National Human Rights Commission and Union home minister, among others, said reports.

The multi- crore Vyapam scam that leaves on its trail a series of mysterious deaths involves a racket that operates in getting government jobs and admission to elite colleges in exchange for money.
