Kolkata, Apr 29 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday claimed that 40 lawmakers of West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress are in contact with him and will switch camps once the May 23 Lok Sabha polls result is declared.

He made the comment at a time when India voted in the fourth phase of election on Monday.

Voting is being held in several seats in West Bengal where the key battle is taking place between Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress and the BJP.

Addressing a rally in Serampore, a town which is located close to Kolkata, Modi said: "Didi, on 23 May, the day of results, the lotus will bloom everywhere and your MLAs are going to leave you and run."

"Even today, 40 of your MLAs are in contact with me," Modi claimed.
