39-year-old man commit suicide in Guwahati

Guwahati/IBNS: A 39-year-old man died after he set himself on fire in Assam’s capital city Guwahati on Friday night.

The deceased person was identified as Pranay Chetri and he was a postgraduate in science.

Guwahati city police confirmed that, the person had committed suicide inside his house at Panjabari area in the city.

Locals said that the deceased person was unemployed and he was frustrated and depressed for a long time.

"He was frustrated by unemployment and it may lead him to take this step," a local resident of Panjabari area said.

Police had sent the body for post-mortem.
