32 people killed as fire breaks out at Delhi factory

New Delhi/IBNS: At least 32 people were killed as fire broke out at a factory in a crowded area of the national capital, media reports said.

The fire broke out around 5 AM at a factory in Anaj Mandi on Rani Jhansi Road.

Majority of the dead are labourers who were sleeping inside the factory.

The cause of the fire is still not known.

To take control of the situation, thirty fire trucks have been pressed into action.

According to reports, twenty people were taken to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital and Hindu Rao Hospital.

As a result of the incident,  Rani Jhansi flyover near New Delhi railway station has been shut to the traffic.
