30-year-old worker from Uttar Pradesh electrocuted in Thane

Thane, July 16 (UNI): A 30-year-old power loom worker hailing from Uttar Pradesh died of electrocution while shifting the iron pipes in his house at Bhiwandi town of the district on Tuesday.

The deceased worker, after completing his night shift, was shifting the iron pipes at his home this morning aaround 0730 hours when an iron pipe accidentally came in contact with a live electric wire that was dangling above the house, as a result of which, he suffered a severe shock and died on the spot, police said.

Pawan Patel had come down to Bhiwandi from Allahabad just five days back for the job.

The Bhiwandi town police has registered a case of accidental death in this regard, sources added.
