19 women cops suspended in Samastipur
Samastipur, Mar 6 (UNI): Altogether 19 women cops were today suspended with immediate effect
for dereliction of duty in Samastipur district.
Police said here that 19 women cops were deployed at various places including Thaneshvar Mandir under Town police station area to maintain law and order during Mahashivratri.
When police superintendent Harpreet Kaur made surprise inspection, 19 women cops were found absent from their duties, police added.
"Soon after the surprise inspection, Ms Kaur issued instructions to place the erring women cops under immediate suspension", police said adding departmental proceedings would also be initiated against the suspended cops.
